NEW YORK, Today: Boyd PR Auckland has won a major healthcare award at the 2020 Asia-Pacific Sabre PR Awards for its work with Sir John Kirwan’s mental health app Mentemia.
The agency won the Healthcare Providers category, was a finalist in Product Media Relations (Consumer Media) and won a Certificate of Excellence in the Digital & Print Media category.
Boyd PR’s campaign centred around the public launch of Mentemia and promoting the app, which is free to all New Zealanders for the duration of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Sabre Awards, organised by PRovoke Media New York, celebrate superior achievement in branding, reputation, and engagement. The campaigns were evaluated by a jury of 60 industry leaders.
The virtual awards show took place last week.
“It was incredibly rewarding to work on a campaign that is genuinely helping Kiwis during challenging times.”
Mentemia was developed by long-time mental health advocate Kirwan, tech entrepreneur Adam Clark and a team of clinical experts.
MD John Boyd says the agency is very proud to have received recognition for such a meaningful campaign.
“It’s been a difficult year for everyone, but one real positive that has come out of the pandemic is the awareness around mental health issues and the importance of taking care of yourself.
“It was incredibly rewarding to work on a campaign that is genuinely helping Kiwis during these challenging times and having this recognised by the Sabre Awards is the icing on the cake.”
