AUCKLAND, Today: On Thursday 18 March, NZ can enjoy being part of the world’s first advertising award show in real life,” says Axis 2021 convenor Maria Devereux, announcing a one-week countdown to the Axis Awards 2021 entry call.
“What a year,” Colenso ECD said. “It hasn’t been easy for any of us. But in the midst of a global pandemic, our team of 5 million showed the world what we’re capable of.
“As a brilliant little country we proved our resolve.
“As a brilliant little country we proved our resolve. Now, New Zealand is the envy of the world.”
“And as an industry we did too. We adapted, we worked harder than ever, and we pushed on. Big and small agencies, across every discipline. Surrounded by uncertainty, creativity endured.
“Now, New Zealand is the envy of the world. We can enjoy trips to the beach, spending time with loved ones, going to dinner, a bar, a concert …
“Axis-21 is our chance to celebrate (with the world on Zoom) what we love about our country and our industry.
“And after a year like that, we deserve it.”
