AUCKLAND, Today: VMLY&R Auckland has announced two new appointments – senior art director Tim Yates and studio designer Laia Pampalona.
VMLY&R executive creative director Kim Pick said: “Bringing Tim and Laia into the team is a great next step for VMLY&R to help further strengthen our creative department in Auckland, and to complement our Wellington team.
“They both bring fantastic skills and experience from their markets.”

With 13 years’ experience, Yates joins from Saatchi & Saatchi in Melbourne, where he was working on Toyota and Westpac Group brands, including the Bank of Melbourne. Prior to that he was at DDB NZ for five years on Sky TV and McDonald’s.
Pampalona has 10 years’ experience across in-house and design agency roles, with time spent in creative agencies in Spain, the UK and New Zealand. She’s been designing for various clients working on rebrands, product launches, and marketing campaigns across all forms of media.
