AUCKLAND, Thursday: The NZ Marketing has postponed the NZ Direct Marketing Awards for the second year, due to Covid. MA ceo John Miles said: “The awards will no longer run in its existing format in 2021/2022.
“Instead, the MA is working with other industry players to reimagine a “new and exciting” awards programme on the 2022 calendar.
“The reimagined awards will be positioned so to appeal to an evolving marketing industry, and will feature key elements of contemporary marketing.
“We are really excited by this development as our intention is that this will be an event that all marketers across New Zealand will want to enter.
“New categories in line with international awards programmes, plus a widened scope, and MarTech projects, will be key features of the new direction of the awards.”

“Discussions regarding the timing, format and scope of the Awards are ongoing as the MA engages other industry organisations and key sponsors.

An official announcement is expected later in the year.
