AUCKLAND, Thursday: Film Construction has added director Chris Clark to its roster, for representation in New Zealand, Australia, and Asia. “We first became aware of Chris’ work around a decade ago,” said FC director/founding partner Perry Bradley.
“As a burgeoning filmmaker, he was pitching against one of our senior directors, and this fresh-faced kid took it out. From that point on, we recognised he was a significant talent, and one to watch.”
Chris Clark said: ”As a young director, I always had ambitious creative ideas. Making work beyond its means and not allowing anyone to notice my constraints.
“We first became aware of Chris’ work around a decade ago.”
“It’s still 100% like that. No one cares what you were up against. All that matters is how it makes you feel when you watch it.”
Perry Bradley: “Chris’ sweet spot is making commercials with beautiful visuals, brimming with authentic life and human warmth. The stuff that makes you feel good.
“Chris’ reel ranges across stunning visuals, comedy, character, and above all, story shaping. He has done prominent campaigns for Toyota, Sky TV, Kiwi Rail, Cavalier Bremworth, Electrolux, and Sovereign Insurance.
“His filmmaking approach is creative and highly collaborative.”
