EightyOne has announced the appointment of copywriter Joe Stuart, this as the Wellington-based agency opens a new Auckland office.
Stuart has just arrived back in New Zealand having been in London for six and a half years, working predominantly at M&C Saatchi and Octagon.
EightyOne ECD, Chris Bleackley, is thrilled to welcome Stuart: “Joe has the right amount of ambition, curiosity and experience to contribute significantly. We’re delighted to have him with us.”
He’ll link up with Paul Scoringe who leads EightyOne’s Sports marketing arm in Auckland, EightyOneX. They’ve completed a massive few months working with international partners like Healthspan Elite, Tudor, Wattbike and locally with the Black Ferns and Sport NZ.
Stuart’s appointment incidentally sees EightyOne expand into Auckland.
MD Matt West comments: “Everyone thinks Wellington is the entire NZ advertising scene. The data tells us it’s worth investing in a satellite office and taking a punt on Auckland in the hope that the place takes off. You never know.”
EightyOne Auckland will be based in Kingsland.
