Independent communications consultancy One Plus One has this month appointed Max Burt as Group Account Director, joining the business after seven years at DDB Group Aotearoa’s Mango Communications.
The appointment comes off the back of a strong 2021 for One Plus One, which saw the business welcome several new clients in addition to expanding the remit of existing clients.
Burt brings with him a wealth of experience across corporate and consumer PR and has led high-profile clients across a diverse range of sectors including Iwi, Financial Services, Telco, FMCG, Property, Travel and Tech.
Burt’s appointment will see him lead an exciting portfolio of clients and work closely with founder and managing director Kelly Bennett on business development.
Burt says he’s excited about the role and relishing the new environment at an independent consultancy.
“I really admire the business and culture Kelly and his team have built over the last few years,” says Burt. “There’s a great mix of talent on deck and some fantastic clients and opportunities to get stuck into.”
Founder and Managing Director, Kelly Bennett says this is an exciting hire for the business and a signal of things to come.
“Max is awesome. He’s super smart, very strategic and has a talented take on what clients will benefit from. Plus he’s a great guy, so we’re thrilled he’s joined our team in what is a very important role for One Plus One,” he says.
Due to growth, the company is on the lookout for additional standout PR talent from Account Executive level through to Account Director.
