On Friday, July 1, dentsu Aotearoa will be OOO as all dentsu staff around the world take the day to volunteer in their local communities.
Globally, dentsu have ambitious social impact and sustainability goals and its annual One Day for Change is one of many initiatives implemented to achieve those targets.
With this year’s theme focused around zero waste and sustainability, volunteering activities will focus on tree planting, habitat restoration, food box packing and waste reduction activities with various partners across Auckland and Wellington.
Dentsu Aotearoa CEO, Rob Harvey, says: “One Day for Change is a powerful demonstration of our commitment to being a force for good in the world. With over 300 of our dentsu whānau across Auckland and Wellington getting out into the community for the day, I am confident our mahi can make a meaningful impact for the great causes we are partnering with.”
Dentsu recently started their journey as a member of Volunteering Auckland with the intention of supporting community projects, through volunteering, that will make a difference in communities.
Volunteering Auckland’s Rachel Falwasser, Stakeholder Engagement, says: “Working with the team at dentsu has been amazing and we are very pleased to be supporting dentsu staff on their volunteering journey. We love supporting companies whose values align with ours. We look forward to our growing partnership, in volunteering, with Dentsu over the coming years.”
