SOUTH KOREA, Monday: NZ agencies Tribal, DDB and Special cleaned up at the MAD Stars Awards in Busan at the weekend, winning three Grand Prix trophies.
Tribal Aotearoa and DDB Aotearoa won the Mobile Grand Prix and Direct Grand Prix for Samsung iTest, whilst Special New Zealand picked up the Social & Influencer Grand Prix for Motor Neurone Disease Association NZ David’s Unusables.
Both campaigns have already collected multiple global gongs.
This year’s awards received 18922 entries from 73 countries and saw WPP named Network of the Year and Impact BBDO named Agency of the Year.

New York-based Publicis Health/Saatchi Wellness CCO Kathy Delaney, who, joined MAD Stars 2022 as an executive judge, said: “It was such an honour to work with my fellow jurors to review and select the winners from an amazing body of work.
“This year’s MAD Stars Awards prove that global creativity and innovation are alive and7 well – congratulations to all of the 2022 award honorees!”
Special awards
MAD Stars 2022 also revealed the list of special awards: WPP – Network of the Year, Impact BBDO – Agency of the Year, Samsung – Advertiser of the Year, and Jung von Matt AG – Production Company of the Year
