AUCKLAND, Today: Nielsen Ad Intel dropped the latest deets on who’s been splashing the cash on ads in New Zealand for 2023. It’s the go-to for tracking where the ad dollars are flowing across the country.
The scoop from Nielsen reveals the big spenders in Kiwi advertising from the start to the end of last year. Leading the pack? Harvey Norman, with Foodstuffs NZ and Woolworths not far behind.
“Nielsen’s NZ Ad Intel spend data for 2023 clearly demonstrates that marketers aren’t just advertising because they feel they have to – they’re its biggest champions.”
In the finance world, ANZ took the crown, landing at number four, while Spark led the charge for telecoms, ranking fifth. Over in retail land, Mitre 10 edged out Bunnings in the home improvement sector, securing the 13th spot compared to Bunnings at 18th. And for your fast food fix, KFC outdid McDonald’s, clinching sixth place.
