Thrive PR & Communications Aotearoa has announced the appointment of Rebecca Churchill as local agency lead and Associate Director.
Leveraging her understanding of the local market, Churchill will focus on strengthening Thrive’s integrated communications offering in New Zealand and will play a key role in driving opportunities for Thrive’s portfolio of trans-Tasman clients.
Thrive’s client portfolio across the Tasman and in New Zealand includes global brands like GoPro, Cisco, LEGO and locally Ngāi Tahu Tourism amongst others.
In her role as Associate Director, Churchill will lead and grow the local team and drive new growth opportunities for clients in PR, digital, social, influencer, creative and events.
“I have long admired Thrive PR’s work across ANZ, so I am just thrilled to now be part of the team, leading the agency on the ground here in Aotearoa New Zealand,” said Churchill.
“Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do at Thrive – whether it’s working hand-in-glove with our clients, cracking a brief on an energetic trans-Tasman braino or calling on the expertise of our epic digital production team.
“This truly intersectional view of comms means we have the ability to draw on such a wide range of expertise and skill sets into our day-to-day ways of working, something I don’t think any other Kiwi PR agency has managed to quite crack until now.”
With experience in strategic communications, Churchill will work closely with Thrive’s Australian offices as well as the Senior and Executive Leadership Teams.
Thrive’s CEO Leilani Abels said, “We’re excited to welcome Rebecca to the Thrive family. We are charging her with finding the most ambitious Kiwi talent who are eager to learn, gain experience with the biggest global brands and are ready to hit the ground running on producing some really exciting and impactful work.
“With Rebecca at the helm of Thrive Aotearoa, the agency is well poised to continue building on its already successful remit, delivering industry leading campaigns, communication solutions, creative and digital services as a leader in the industry.”
