80s star John McEnroe stars again in Pepperstone’s tennis themed campaign

Global online trading provider Pepperstone, and Saatchi & Saatchi New Zealand have brought together top tennis players Daniil Medvedev, Alex de Minaur and Katie Boulter as a follow-up to their highly successful ‘Don’t Be Fine With It’ campaign.

In the campaign video, the elite tennis trio are coached by Pepperstone’s Global Tennis Ambassador, former World No.1 and seven-time Grand Slam singles champion, John McEnroe. He shares his tips with the players on how to become #1 in the world, the ’80s way.

Are they fine with it?

Not really – he’s quite shouty, temperamental and still uses a wooden racquet.

Two million views

Directed by award-winning comedy director Benji Weinstein and produced by FINCH, the spots launched during Wimbledon and amassed over two million views over the first weekend.

Pepperstone’s Global Head of Brand, Jodi Cutler says, “Working with both Alex and John is always such a pleasure. We’re incredibly passionate about supporting Alex’s rise up the rankings, and now we are also excited to be working with both Katie and Daniil”.
