Independent media agency Together has announced new leadership roles to reflect an increasing focus on marketing and media transformation services alongside media planning and buying.
The agency has re-organised teams to focus its services across inter-connected practices: Media, CXM, Cloud, and Data & Analytics. The changes reflect the increasing role technology and data is playing in media planning and buying, as well as increasing client needs for standalone support with marketing technology and data infrastructure.
Recently, the agency welcomed media leader Penelope Brown to the role of Managing Director – Media, to lead the Media agency day-to-day. Brown’s role is complemented by new roles for two of its senior leaders within the evolved structure.
Andy Bell assumes the role of Managing Director for Together’s CXM, Cloud and Data & Analytics practices. He will run the agency’s CXM practice, partnerships with Salesforce and Google Cloud, alongside business and marketing analytics services.
This builds on the agency’s success in delivering clients’ data-driven marketing performance and capability beyond paid media. Together were recently appointed as Jaguar Land Rover New Zealand’s customer agency, assuming responsibility for customer strategy and direct-to-customer communications, as well as providing technical support and consultancy for their Salesforce Marketing Cloud activity. The agency also has a growing portfolio of Salesforce clients – Volvo, Brightr and Aroa Biosurgery.
Previous head of Together’s programmable media team, Suraj Barnawal, assumes the role of Chief Innovation and Technology Officer, responsible for group-wide technology development, adoption and product innovation.
A Campaign 40 under 40 winner, he will lead Together’s engineering team to develop custom media targeting and technology solutions, further develop Together’s product suite and the agency’s adoption of AI.
“Andy, Suraj and Pen make an amazing team and we’re very fortunate to have them directing the next phase of growth for our clients and agency,” says Managing Partner, Kris Hadley.
“It’s an unrivalled talent combination that reflects where media is today and where it’s heading next”.
