AUCKLAND, Today: RealNZ has returned to full strength in Piopiotahi Milford Sound, offering a complete lineup of boats and experiences for visitors to the Eighth Wonder of the World.
After gradually reinstating vessels since 2020, the Milford Monarch has now returned to service after a four-year hiatus. RealNZ now operates five vessels, offering unmatched day and overnight experiences.
“This milestone feels special, especially as we cap off RealNZ’s 70th year,” says CEO Dave Beeche. “Our team has worked incredibly hard during the tourism industry’s recovery.”
Food takes centre stage in RealNZ’s offerings, moving away from single-use packaging. Guests can enjoy Eastern-style buffets, “floating café” vibes, or locally-sourced reusable lunchboxes.

This season also sees the MV Sinbad’s Premium Cruise in full swing. With small groups, extended cruises, champagne, and canapés, it redefines the Milford Sound experience.
RealNZ’s partnership with Wet Jacket Wines has raised $ 20,000 for conservation efforts in Harrison Cove, supporting the Tawaki Fiordland Crested Penguin’s breeding habitat.
“The wide range of offerings helps us inspire guests with the wonders of nature and fall in love with conservation,” adds Beeche.
