Fisher Funds has Special Reasons to celebrate in 2025

Fisher Funds has appointed Special as its creative agency, and Reason as its media and performance marketing partner after a competitive pitch.

It has appointed Jonathan Symons as GM of Marketing.

“We are incredibly pleased to start the year with the appointment of these two agencies and a new leader of the team,” says Nilesh Mistry, Chief Client Officer at Fisher Funds.

“We were impressed with how well Special and Reason understood our business and most importantly the ambitions we have for the half a million New Zealanders who trust us with their KiwiSaver and Investments. Our brand is well-known and cared for by the Fisher Funds team and with Jonathan at the helm, we look forward to driving growth and performance in 2025.”

Sharp thinkers

Special will deliver a broad suite of strategic and creative work including brand and acquisition campaigns, direct marketing and content creation.

“The Fisher Funds team are a bunch of good natured, ambitious people and really impressed us with how good they are at what they do. They have a strong vision and great capability to achieve it, and we can’t wait to help them get there,” says Scott Coldham – Managing Director of Special New Zealand.

Reason’s work covers media strategy, channel innovation, and integrating all this with data and technology.

“It’s rare to find a business that’s not just ambitious but genuinely invests in innovation and its people. Fisher Funds has built a team of sharp thinkers committed to doing things differently. Partnering with them and Special is incredibly exciting, as it gives us the freedom to deliver the very best of what’s possible,” says Tim Pointer CEO of Reason.

Jonathan Symons is a seasoned marketing leader. He has held key roles including Head of Marketing at ASB, GM Data and Insights TVNZ and Director of Marketing at TVNZ.
