Isaac’s and FizzyPop bring Brodie Retallick onto every field

HAWKE’S BAY, Today: Former All Black Brodie Retallick is swapping the rugby field for pumps, pipes and solar panels in a major new campaign for regional trade specialist Isaac’s.

Created by Hawke’s Bay agency FizzyPop, the campaign marks a shift in how the 30-year-old business presents itself to the market.

Isaac’s is bringing its plumbing, pumping, electrical, solar and hot-water expertise under one integrated proposition, making it easier for customers to understand exactly what the wider team can deliver.

The work itself is not changing. Instead, the new positioning shines a brighter light on Isaac’s key advantage: its ability to connect multiple trades within one complete project.

That means homes, farms, businesses and industrial sites can call one team to manage power, water, pumping, electrical and solar systems without juggling several different specialists.

Retallick has signed on as Isaac’s regional ambassador for the next two years, bringing some serious horsepower—and 109 All Blacks appearances—to the campaign.

His role connects Isaac’s with qualities including strength, reliability, credibility, hard work and practical performance when the pressure comes on.

The creative follows Retallick moving through different Isaac’s environments, including solar installations, plumbing jobs, electrical sites and pumping systems, before returning to more familiar territory on the rugby field.

The line “We dominate on every field” ties everything together across Isaac’s four principal service areas: plumbing, pumping, electrical and solar.

“Isaac’s has always had the people, experience and technical ability to take on complex work across the region,” says Braydon Hardwidge, Branch Manager at Isaac’s. “What this campaign does is bring that capability together in a way that is easier for customers to understand. Whether it’s a farm, home, commercial site or industrial project, we want people to know they can call one team that understands the whole job.”

That is a much stronger story, and Brodie gives us a way to tell it with real cut-through.” – Tom Young, Director, FizzyPop

For Isaac’s, the campaign is more than a profile-building exercise. It is designed to establish the company as Hawke’s Bay’s first call for integrated energy and water projects.

“Isaac’s had a clear opportunity to own a much stronger position in Hawke’s Bay,” says Young. “They are not just plumbers, pump specialists, electricians or solar installers. They are a team that understands how these systems work together. That is a much stronger story, and Brodie gives us a way to tell it with real cut-through.”

Solar is also being introduced as a natural extension of Isaac’s established expertise, rather than something bolted awkwardly onto the side.

Its capability spans commercial and rural solar installations, site-specific systems, batteries, EV charging infrastructure and integrated hot-water solutions requiring practical design and long-term thinking.

“Brodie was the right fit because this campaign is not about celebrity for the sake of it,” says Amelia Poulgrain, Agency Lead at FizzyPop. “He represents reliability, strength and performance, which are exactly the qualities Isaac’s already has in the market. The job was to connect that reputation to a sharper brand position and a campaign people would notice.”

Retallick said Isaac’s practical approach and strong regional roots made the partnership a natural fit.

“Isaac’s is a Hawke’s Bay team that gets stuck in and does the work properly,” says Retallick. “That is what stood out to me. Whether it’s plumbing, pumping, electrical or solar, they have the team behind them to get the job done.”

The campaign launches across Hawke’s Bay on 17 August, supported by video, radio, social media, digital advertising, outdoor activity and refreshed website messaging.
