Strategy and execution consultancy These Guys I Know has launched a new PR and storytelling system called Circulate.
It is designed to help businesses, organisations and individuals elevate their profiles and strengthen their position in the market, says These Guys I Know.
The system gives organisations a practical way to identify and develop strong stories, then share them efficiently across multiple channels – from news media and social platforms to customer, stakeholder and internal communications channels.
“Telling your story well is one of the best things you can do for your business,” says These Guys I Know founder and strategist Amanda Wilson.
“Over the years, we’ve generated millions of dollars’ worth of editorial coverage for our clients, while strengthening their digital footprints, stakeholder engagement and social presence. These outcomes are connected: strong stories build visibility and credibility wherever audiences encounter them. Circulate packages the thinking, tools and processes behind that work into a system that more organisations can access and use.”
Built for a changing media landscape
The number of communication channels has multiplied, while audiences have become increasingly fragmented. A story now needs to travel across a complex communications landscape without losing the clarity and strength of its central message.
“Having more ways to communicate should be an opportunity, but it can quickly become overwhelming,” Wilson says.
“Stories become diluted, messages get mixed and the intended audience is ultimately not reached. Additionally, for many organisations they simply don’t have the resources to ensure effective storytelling. Circulate simplifies the process. It helps organisations identify the stories that matter, shape them well and put them into circulation – with monitoring and reporting also available.”
By connecting PR, social content and an organisation’s direct communications, Circulate helps teams show up consistently with strong messages adapted for each audience and channel. It builds on processes used by These Guys I Know for many years.
“Effective storytelling is not a single press release or social post,” Wilson says. “It is a connected system: finding the right stories, adapting them for different channels and keeping them moving (or circulating) over time.”
Technology-enabled efficiency
As the number of communication channels grew, These Guys I Know found that managing the distribution of stories and messages beyond traditional media was taking time away from the work that most needs a human touch.
“Through These Guys I Know, we want to focus on deeper storytelling and strong relationships with journalists – taking the time to craft meaningful stories and support the people telling them,” Wilson says.
By bringing greater structure and technology-enabled efficiency to the wider distribution process, Circulate creates more time for strategic thinking, story development and media engagement where they count.
“Circulate helps us use technology where it adds the most value, so we can put our time where people add the most value,” Wilson says.
“Efficient distribution matters, but so do the human craft behind a story and the trusted relationships that help it travel. Circulate allows us to invest properly in both – and now we’re making that system available to organisations beyond the core clients of These Guys I Know.”
Making good storytelling more accessible
Circulate will support a wide range of businesses, leaders and organisations through supported-service and as-a-service options.
Currently in beta, the system is designed to scale for sports organisations, community groups, startups, established businesses and larger enterprises.
“There is no organisation that wouldn’t benefit from a better storytelling system,” Wilson says.
“The stronger your story, the stronger the position you can build in your market and your community. Circulate frees teams from fragmented, reactive communications which, as we know from our own experience, can be extremely overwhelming. It helps you build a strong position through consistent and layered storytelling.”
