NZME launches Daze of Our Lives with longtime friends PJ and Caitlin

AUCKLAND, Today: NZME has paired two longtime friends behind the microphone for Daze of Our Lives, a new weekly podcast hosted by Polly “PJ” Harding and Caitlin Marett.

Supported by The Hits and iHeartRadio, the show reimagines Harding’s Slow It Down podcast, shifting the focus from slowing down to the friendship she and Marett have shared for 18 years.

The pair met at broadcasting school and have stayed close ever since, despite now living at opposite ends of the country and moving through very different stages of life.

Each week, listeners are invited into the kind of conversations usually reserved for old friends — honest, funny, occasionally ridiculous, and shaped by nearly two decades of knowing each other inside out.

Marett returns to NZME with more than a decade of radio experience, including producing ZM’s breakfast show and co-hosting the long-running Girls On Top podcast.

She later stepped away from full-time broadcasting to train and work as a registered nurse, bringing a rather different kind of life experience back to the microphone.

At its heart, Daze of Our Lives came from a simple idea: give two best friends a regular reason to catch up, hit record, and see where the conversation goes.

The pair hope the podcast shows that friendships can keep growing, even when geography, careers and life generally decide to make things complicated.

Daze of Our Lives joins NZME’s growing podcast slate on iHeartRadio and is available to commercial partners looking to reach an engaged female audience.

The first episode is available now on iHeartRadio and major podcast platforms, with new episodes released every Tuesday.
