In a move to further promote the sustainability of its business, JCDecaux has now introduced new environmentally friendly material for its billboards.
Aptly titled ‘Future Banner’ the material is PVC free, and the difference between the new environmentally friendly one and traditional ones is unnoticeable.
“JCDecaux is proudly an environmentally responsible company. We have been extensively trialling the use of our Future Banners to test their strength and durability and this change in printing method is expected to substantially lower JCDecaux’s carbon footprint and reduce landfill waste. We’re excited to launch these billboards in New Zealand with the same commitment to quality we have always maintained,” JCDecaux NZ Country Head, Mike Watkins, said.
Alongside being made from more sustainable materials, the new boards are lighter than the 450gsm material currently being used by the Out-of-Home industry, creating a reduction of product in to landfill and making it easier to lift and move for JCDecaux installers.
The Future Banner is available on all JCDecaux 6x3m and 12x3m Large Format billboards across New Zealand, effective immediately upon client request.
