MediaWorks radio alongside Omnicom Media Group has announced a new audio technology which allows for ad insertion through its Rova app.
Powered by Triton Digital, the technology delivers audio advertisements within the Music+ and Podcast channels on rova.
Leon Wratt, group content director MediaWorks Radio, says this innovation will help take Rova to the next level.
“This initiative is an important step in our continued digital evolution – the introduction of digital audio ads will enable further ad-tech development in the exciting world of audio streaming.”
Gareth Codd, Acting Commercial Director MediaWorks, says;
“The number of streams on rova continues to grow exponentially year-on-year. The platform has delivered over 25 million streams in the first half of 2020, a 129 percent growth versus the same-time-last year – an incredible result. We are very pleased to deliver continued innovation to the benefit of our advertising partners.”
Scott Keddie, Chief Investment Officer OMG, says:
“Omnicom is committed to working with our partners to bring new and innovative opportunities to the New Zealand advertising market. We see the role of digital audio continuing to grow in the coming years and are pleased to partner with rova to further drive this momentum.”
