In a world where nearly everyone is always online, there is no offline.

Pizza Hut partners with St John

Pizza will now be served with a good cause thanks to Pizza Hut becoming an official partner of St John New Zealand, providing the emergency ambulance service and community health services with essential fundraising support.

The partnership was inspired by Pizza Hut Lynfield owners, Harish and Hema, who gifted pizza to their local St John for their relentless work during lockdown.

Pizza Hut will undertake national and local fundraising initiatives with an annual support target, with proceeds going towards new emergency ambulances and lifesaving equipment, and to support St John with the delivery of its vital community programmes.

Pizza Hut stores nationwide will offer customers the ‘St John Meal Deal’, including free delivery and $ 1 from every meal sold donated to St John.

St John staff and volunteers will also receive year-round Pizza Hut discounts, vouchers, and catered events.

Arif Khan, Chief Executive Officer of Restaurant Brands, says they couldn’t be prouder to join forces with St John.

“The critical services that St John provides Kiwis continue to touch the lives of our friends and families, neighbours and colleagues in more ways than one.”

St John Deputy Chief Executive – Customers & Supporters, Pete Loveridge, adds: “Who doesn’t like a delicious pizza served with a good cause? We are so grateful for the commitment by Pizza Hut to provide much-needed fundraising through a fantastic meal deal to help us to deliver our essential services to New Zealanders, especially during this very busy and challenging summer season.

“This initiative will help us to keep our ambulances on the road and ensure we can continue to build resilient communities through our charitable health services.”

To kick off, Pizza Hut shouted Christmas lunch for St John staff across the country, catering for nearly 400 employees and volunteers.
