Auckland-based tourism marketing agency Maverick Digital continues its growth trajectory with the appointments of Grant Colquhoun and Stu Lill to its senior team.
Colquhoun joins from TripAdvisor and brings over 20 years’ experience in tourism marketing, sales and management.
In his new Head of Partnerships role, he will support the strategic and sustainable growth of the agency and be part of senior management.
Maverick Digital Founder, Alex Dykman says: “I loved Grant’s humility, enormous tourism knowledge and passion for people from the get-go. It’s clear he will relish the challenge of being a part of our successful start-up and growing our reputation for high impact, client-centred work.”
Previously in Singapore, Colquhoun will now be Queenstown-based – a win for South Island-based clients.
Colquhoun says: “Many years ago I started my tourism career in New Zealand, and I’m thrilled to be back and working with the wonderful product and talent that is New Zealand and South Pacific tourism.”
Also joining the team is Lill, who adds to the team’s digital performance capabilities.
With experience as Digital Marketing Manager for Tourism Holdings Limited and Just MTB, he adds immense tourism experience combined with hands-on knowledge of best practice digital.
Lill says: “Maverick Digital’s clients include some of NZ’s most well-known, inspiring tourism brands – the likes of Whale Watch Kaikoura, Hobbiton, Waitangi Treaty Grounds and Tourism Bay of Plenty. Applying my digital skillset to support the growth of companies like this is something I’m incredibly excited about.”
Dykman says Lill joining the agency’s performance team is a “game changer” for clients.
“Stu is a talented digital specialist with real flair for driving clear, transparent ROI. He’s also a fantastic people person, and is very much invested in the holistic success of the brands he works with.”
