AUCKLAND, Friday: Leading out-of-home company JCDecaux has announced the appointment of two senior sales leaders – Matt Kum and David Carran.
Kum joins JCDecaux in the newly created role of national sales manager – airport, while Carran joins as senior account director.
JCDecaux NZ sales director Gary Rosewarne said: “As airports start to see passenger numbers increase, Matt will lead the advertising recovery of JCDecaux’s airport assets, which include Auckland, Christchurch, and Queenstown.
“He will be responsible for market education, knowledge building and strategic partnerships. He has extensive industry experience, having worked in sales, media and creative agency roles, most recently as media sales director at Stuff.
“Both our sales appointments reflect our desire to deliver exceptional client service:
“David Carran will lead JCDecaux’s relationships with agencies Wavemaker, Stanley Street, The Attention Works and Krunch. He joins JCDecaux from Cartel Media where he was sales manager and has also worked in a range of media sales roles across New Zealand and the UK.
“As economies start to bounce back post-pandemic, JCDecaux is enjoying stronger occupancy across our out-of-home portfolio. Within our airport environment, domestic travel audiences have now almost fully returned, and with the opening of the trans-Tasman and Cook Islands bubbles, demand for premium airport inventory is on the rise.
“Both our sales appointments reflect our desire to deliver exceptional client service: Matt’s knowledge of the media landscape, sales leadership background and strong business relationships makes him the perfect candidate to supercharge airport advertising recovery in the newly created airport role, while David’s wealth of media experience and deep understanding of effective advertising and business strategy will help us build on our already great relationships with key agencies.”
Both appointments are effective immediately.
