AUCKLAND, Today: We feel a need to acknowledge the life of Rolling Stone Charlie Watts – creative, drummer,  jazz & blues exponent, trained graphic artist, and designer of The Stones’ record sleeves and tour stages.

Not only was he a great artist, his private life bore scrutiny, too.

He was an enthusiastic consumer of drugs, sure, but he also had a reputation for being faithful to his wife Shirley, and he always politely refused sexual favours from groupies on the road.
