SYDNEY, Wednesday: AUNZ magazine publisher Are Media has announced the rebranding of Ovato Retail Distribution (formerly Gordon & Gotch) to Are Direct across New Zealand and Australia.
Jane Huxley, the Sydney-based ceo of Are, said: We remain committed to supporting and strengthening the the magazine category, by ensuring retailers receive a reliable supply of diverse and relevant magazines to drive revenue and foot traffic in store.
“Are Direct will continue to distribute Are Media’s magazines and the magazines to 2000 retail outlets in Australia and New Zealand.”
“Coastlands is the largest shopping centre in Wellington – and the only one with two supermarkets.”
Around 250 employees who previously worked for Ovato have transitioned to Are Direct, with David Hogan continuing to lead the newly acquired business in Australia and Tony Edwards continuing to lead it in New Zealand.
The Are Direct name change becomes effective from 1 November, but Jane Huxley said: “It’s very much a case of business as usual.”
