AUCKLAND, Saturday: Special Group has put its money where its mouth is – by taking a rare full-page ad in the A Section of The Weekend Herald to let the world know about its latest offshore awards coup.

Agency co-founder/ceo Tony Bradbourne said: “Special has a long history of running full-page press adverts, ever since we did some work with the Herald in our opening months.


“Our first ad led to three new clients which helped kickstart Special in a big way.”


“Our first ad had the headline Don’t waste your money on advertising and spoke about how most advertising really misses the mark, and if you don’t notice it, it’s not going to work.

“It led to three new clients which helped kickstart Special in a big way.

“Fourteen years later we’ve been named Agency of the Year at the APAC Effectiveness Awards for a lot of work that was noticed, and did work.

“So it seemed appropriate to celebrate that in print.”
