Stuff scores 13 finalist spots in the 2022 INMA Global Media Awards

The International News Media Association (INMA) has announced the finalists of the 2022 Global Media Awards with Stuff scoring 13 finalist spots – more than any other New Zealand media organisation.

The Global Media Awards, which have been presented by INMA since 1937, received 854 entries from 252 news brands in 46 countries. Leading the finalist list are entries from India (60), United States (31), Austria (30), New Zealand (23), United Kingdom (23), Norway (22), Germany (19), and Australia (17).

Stuff CEO Sinead Boucher says the strong showing in editorial, advertising and marketing categories, in what are the pre-eminent media awards globally, is great acknowledgment for Stuff’s world-class work.

“It’s wonderful to see recognition of our outstanding journalism including significant video and audio projects on climate change and inclusion, as well as our Impact Report and several of our innovative advertising solutions. These are all areas where we have pushed ourselves to innovate quickly or invest thoughtfully in high impact journalism and customer solutions.”

Stuff scored finalist spots in the following categories: Best idea to encourage reader engagement; Best use of print; Best use of video; Best use of audio; Best subscription niche product; Best idea to grow ad sales; Best multi-channel client advertising campaign; Best new digital product; Best new product iteration; and Best use of visual journalism and storytelling tools.

New Zealand Media & Entertainment picked up 10 finalist nods, the only other Kiwi media organisation represented.

INMA is a global community of market-leading news media companies reinventing how they engage audiences and grow revenue.
