AUCKLAND, Today: Fire & Emergency New Zealand has appointed MBM as its agency of record from April 2022, following a competitive pitch process in late 2021. The incumbent – for creative as well as media – was FCB Wellington.
As reported earlier this month, Motion Sickness won a pitch for the creative.
Fire & Emergency NZ is a new unified fire organisation, bringing together New Zealand’s urban and rural fire services into a single, integrated fire and emergency services organisation.
MBM MD Annabelle Wilkinson said: “We are proud to officially welcome Fire & Emergency NZ into the MBM family, yet another Government win for the team following their EECA win last year.
“The role it plays in our society is crucial. The work they do can be the difference between life and death, so to have the opportunity to partner with them is an exciting challenge for the MBM team.
“MBM’s relentless drive for results is something that really stood out during the pitch process.”
“It’s a big challenge, and one that we are excited to get stuck into. Fire and Emergency have produced some iconic, and thought-provoking campaigns over the years, and this is something MBM are excited to take to the next level.”
Fire & Emergency NZ deputy ceo Raewyn Bleakley said, “We are looking forward to partnering with a media agency who could help us create change among New Zealand’s most at risk – those that are the hardest to reach and shift.
“MBM’s relentless drive for results is something that really stood out during the pitch process. We are excited to see how they can interrogate our communications challenges and help us deliver the best results.”
