Following a competitive pitch in December last year, Daylight has launched Auckland Council’s new climate action platform, Auckland Forever.
Created to break down the comprehensive initiatives set out in Te Tāruke-a-Tāwhiri: Auckland’s Climate Plan, Auckland Forever is all about helping locals understand what’s being done to make Tāmaki Makarau everlasting.
“For so long, the effects of global warming have felt just that – global and far away and something that will happen in another lifetime. That lifetime is now, it’s ours, and we’re collectively doing something about it,” says Head of Marketing, Environment and Core Services, Angela Meyer.
Developed as an enduring design system to communicate the hundreds of Council-lead projects until 2030 and beyond, Auckland Forever will continue to grow and evolve with the initiatives themselves.
“Sustainability is something we’re really passionate about here at Daylight. So setting up the communication foundations for our city’s climate response has been really rewarding. With that set, we’re excited to keep building momentum with this platform,” says Daylight’s Creative Director, Charlie Godinet.
The launch campaign is live across street furniture, digital and social and is in the first stage of its flighted rollout across Tāmaki Makaurau.
