AUCKLAND, Today: FCB Media has won the Vodafone media account, following a pitch process earlier this year. The incumbent media agency was Wavemaker. DDB Aotearoa remains Vodafone’s creative agency.
The media win includes media strategy, planning and buying, and is effective from 1 July 2022.
FCB Media will work alongside Vodafone in-house digital media and creative teams and with their creative partners as part of a wider partnership eco-system.
FCB Media managing director – media Terri Collier said: “Our natural chemistry was evident from the outset and we love that we have a shared ambition to push boundaries and do truly transformative work.
“By consulting on how we can build connected ecosystems across external & in-house agencies, we’ll ensure Vodafone’s media investment becomes a sustainable competitive advantage that wins both greater share of mind & disproportionate share of relevance.
“We needed a strategic, data driven partner that can understand our business, simplify our communications strategy, and help us relevantly connect with Aotearoa. FCB Media got this straight away.”
“It’s exciting to work with team of great marketers and creative partners and we can’t wait to get stuck in”.
Vodafone head of brand & marketing Georgia Mahaffie said: “We’re on a mission to be even more customer-obsessed in everything we do.
“For us this means delivering connected, channel experiences to all our current and future customers.
“We needed a strategic, data driven partner that can understand our business, simplify our communications strategy, and help us relevantly connect with Aotearoa.
“FCB Media got this straight away and we’re so excited to have such an enthusiastic partner to work with us on this journey.”
