Will power

WELLINGTON, Tuesday: The country’s largest provider of wills and estate administration services, Public Trust, has appointed Mango Aotearoa as its PR agency following a competitive pitch.

At press time, it was not clear if there had been an incumbent PR agency. The Public Trust’s current creative agency is believed to be Special Group.

The partnership will see Mango provide media relations, social media and event management support to raise awareness of the important services Public Trust provides, encouraging Kiwis to get a will and protect their legacies.

Mango Communications MD Sean Brown said: “This intriguingly complex organisation has many stories to tell from its nearly 150-year history and we’re looking forward to sharing them.

“The Trust has an important role in protecting legacies, especially as we now know that only half of Kiwi adults have a will and even fewer have an enduring power of attorney.”

“Public Trust has an important role in protecting Kiwi legacies, especially as we now know that only half of Kiwi adults have a will and even fewer have an enduring power of attorney.

“It’s a really interesting challenge to set Kiwis to have the awkward conversation about death, money and the future.”

Public Trust head of corporate affairs Lydia Sinclair says they’ve been impressed by Mango’s strategic thinking, insights and creativity.

“Not only does Mango deliver an efficient and hard-working press office but they also have a well-deserved reputation for creating campaigns that will connect with consumers and customers,” she said.

“Plus they’re lovely people, which helps.”
