And just like that, Another One Bites The Dust!

AUCKLAND, Today: Last night, nine agency bands took to the Galatos stage for the 13th annual Battle of the Ad Bands in a brilliant display of glitter, eyeliner, and money guns.

Newcomers, Daylight & the Spinoff have won the 13th Battle of the Ad Bands 

Comms Council ceo Simon Lendrum said: “After two years of postponements, this year’s bands were under immense pressure to deliver and deliver, they did.”

The judging panel – Radio Hauraki’s Angelina Grey, Chris Key and Blair Huston from Fortis Travel – said they were impressed by all of the performances, there could only be one winner.

For their efforts, Daylight have taken home …

  • A $ 100 Sal’s Pizza Voucher
  • A production run of their own bespoke ice cream flavour from Much Moore Ice-Cream
  • A $ 500 Lunch at Prego
  • A sexy rental car for a month courtesy of Giltrap Group & SIXT
  • The BOTAB trophy

Lendrum: “With the calibre of performances so high this year, the judges felt it was only right to award third and second place winners along with the overall Best Performer.”

Both third and second place recipients will each be receiving a $ 500 travel voucher from Fortis Travel. Third place wwent to Joseph Hoskin from Jille & The Meat Lovers with Conal Wilson from AC/DDB picking up second place.

Hype & the Dextones, Chelsea Parson’s was recognised as the Best Performer of the night. Her performance has won her a travel voucher up to the value of $ 1000 thanks to Fortis Travel.

“And of course, there was no shortage of amazing prizes throughout the night. Thanks to our epic sponsors, everyone was able to feel the love last night!
