Tend Health, founded by renowned Auckland entrepreneurs James and Cecilia Robinson, uses an app to join all the dots in healthcare, from making an appointment and getting results to ordering repeat scripts and having a consultation.
Tend customers can choose to visit their care team in one of the company’s modern medical clinics or chat to their doctor via the app. The company is on a growth path as it continues to open new clinics throughout Auckland and offer complete and accessible healthcare experiences.
Current circumstances — elevated demand coupled with medical staff shortages — have placed significant pressure on New Zealand’s primary care and GP industry.
Appointments are hard to obtain; many in need of care wait up to one or two weeks. Furthermore, hospital crowding has made GP services more valuable to New Zealand’s healthcare industry, acting as the first point of call.
