Independent media and digital agency The Media Lab has been appointed to work on the Fees Free campaign by the Tertiary Education Commission and will partner with Storybox to develop its communication campaign for 2022/23.
The Fees Free programme that was first launched in 2017 aims to target both learners and influencers, such as parents, teachers and whānau, encouraging them to check their eligibility.
Rachel Prince, Acting Marketing Manager for the Tertiary Education Commission, confirmed the appointment.
“The Media Lab and Storybox demonstrated to us a strong ability to communicate in clever ways with niche target audiences such as school leavers, particularly with limited budgets,” says Prince.
The Media Lab Managing Director Matt McNeil says they are enthusiastic about the education sector.
“We have a lot of passion for education and youth, and are eager to be working with the marketing team at TEC.”
Storybox Chief Creative Officer and Founder Rob Appierdo says they are excited to be included on TEC’s roster.
“We see this as an important opportunity to bring some fresh ideas to this brief.”
Storybox and The Media Lab will start work on the campaign development immediately.
