In a world where nearly everyone is always online, there is no offline.

Supie shakes things up with Topham Guerin

Aiming to make local fresh produce accessible and affordable again, Supie has brought Kiwi advertising agency Topham Guerin onboard as creative and media partner to help the grocery service reach new homes around Auckland.

With the cost-of-living crisis well and truly digging its claws into Kiwis’ everyday budget, Founder Sarah Balle launched Supie to disrupt the broken grocery industry in New Zealand and save edible food from being discarded.

Now, having launched 18 months ago, 30,000 Kiwis have signed-up to shop with Supie and 375 suppliers, including plenty of local farmers and producers, supply the online grocer with 7000+ products.

“Our marketing focus has evolved from launching the brand 18 months ago to now acquiring and retaining customers. We are delighted to have TG as our marketing partner for this exciting phase in our growth and we’re looking forward to a creative 2023 together,” says Balle.

Sam Newton, Managing Director of APAC, Topham Guerin says the company is “thrilled” to be working alongside Supie.

“It is an exciting time for Supie and we’re looking forward to helping the business communicate and deliver its vision.  To be part of their growth and story is very exciting for our team.”

Once a Kiwi start-up themselves, Topham Guerin understands not just the obstacles a new business might face in the current landscape, but also the conversation surrounding the grocery industry in New Zealand.

This, combined with attention-grabbing creative and immersive understanding of what cuts through on social makes the partnership between Topham Guerin and Supie a recipe for success.

Keep an eye out for upcoming campaigns that will be shaking up the supermarket industry in New Zealand.
