Call the cops! NZ’s Most Wanted is on the road

WELLINGTON, Today: Oriental Bay full-service indie agency Hemisphere has created “an arresting” new campaign for Suzuki NZ to mark the launch of the new Suzuki Vitara Hybrid.

Hemisphere’s Dr Tim Antric said: “The hybrid version of the Vitara Turbo offers even better fuel economy and lower emissions, plus the full Suzuki safety assist suite — adding an extra dimension to one of New Zealand’s most popular compact five-door SUVs.

“Hemisphere was tasked with developing a campaign that would highlight the affordability of this latest hybrid model, while capturing the playfulness Suzuki’s brand has become synonymous with.

“Once again, the Hemisphere team has pulled off a fun and creative campaign for Suzuki. We’re thrilled to build off the success of last year’s campaigns with another unique piece of comedy.

“Once again, the Hemisphere team has pulled off a fun and creative campaign for Suzuki.”

“The Vitara is known for its adventurous off-road attitude allowing you to break free from suburbia in the perfect getaway vehicle.

“And now available as a hybrid for under $ 40k (with the Clean Car Rebate), you could feel a little guilty driving away from your Suzuki dealership — like you got it for a steal …

“Hemisphere developed the creative direction for the new Vitara Hybrid based on this criminal thought, which is amplified in the TV commercial with a tongue-in-cheek scene of mistaken identity.

“Your typical car commercial will list key features, price points, and highlight all the angles to show off the vehicle in its best light. Hemisphere’s approach with the tvc (produced by Generate) was to still tick these boxes but wrap it up in a more unexpected way.

“This was the largest production investment Suzuki New Zealand have made in recent years, producing a 30 second and 15 second cut-down version of the commercial, highlighting the importance of the Vitara Hybrid to their fleet.”
