UI Designer – Auckland / Salary $100-140k

This is a fantastic permanent role for a UI Designer with good digital skills, who is looking to be part of an agency based in Ponsonby, Auckland.

You will be working across a variety of clients and collaborating closely with the creative team, to ensure high-quality work is produced for various digital applications and websites. You will be joining an innovative agency with a diverse client base, ranging from start-ups and big corporate clients, through to big name brands creating crafted digital experiences, intuitive digital solutions and campaigns.

This will be an opportunity for a senior level designer, where you will be able to hone your skills and produce exceptional work. You will take the design lead on a variety of projects, with responsibility from strategy and planning through to final design.

You will have:

• Involvement in the initial stages of a project to assist with user experience ideas and website planning
• Assist and/or take the lead on solution planning from high level strategy through to detailed sitemap planning & on page content
• Execute all stages of the design process from wireframes through to final creative and graphics
• Confidently present and explain your strategy/design ideas to the client
• Working with the development team to ensure your designs are being brought to life in the way you intended

About you:

• You will be a design thinker – always considered and strategic in your approach, and readily able to explain exactly why you have done something in a certain way
• You care deeply about things like typography, grids, colour palettes, interaction & animation, and are passionate about creating an elegant user experience
• You are the type of person to always challenge the status quo but remain focussed on creating the best possible user experience to deliver the desired outcomes
• You will appreciate being part of a transparent culture where we always aim to exceed client expectations and strive for constant improvement
• You will have 5+ years of experience in digital and web design. Ideally, you will have spent time working agency-side.
