AUCKLAND, Today: After 21 years of delivering one of the few light-hearted features of an increasingly earnest NZ Herald, the paper has axed Ana Samway’s Sideswipe column.
“For many, this was the only section of the paper they actually read!”
Friday’s farewell column (scroll down for the link) doesn’t give much detail, but – reading between the lines – her exit appears to be a cost-cutting effort.
She will be sorely missed by the many fans for whom this was the only section of the paper they actually read!
