Sky New Zealand has bolstered its Advertising Sales team with two key appointments as it pursues an ambitious growth strategy.
Kathryn Allemann has joined as General Manager of Integration and Trade Marketing and Max Havaux has joined as Lead – Digital Sales.
With more than two decades experience in media including working in senior roles at broadcasters and agency side, Kathryn Allemann will report directly to Sky’s newly appointed Head of Sales Ben Gibb.
Sky’s Chief Media and Data Officer Lauren Quaintance said: “The quality of Sky’s content and audience engagement is unrivalled, and we have ambitious plans to grow our share of the advertising market by partnering with clients to reach consumers in more creative ways.
Allemann’s appointment will be pivotal to growing the integration and branded content capability at Sky, and Max brings deep subject matter expertise that will be critical as we pursue the digital opportunity.”
Allemann previously worked at TVNZ for more than a decade where she held a number of positions and was responsible for sports integration, programme sponsorship, production funding, and building an internal creative and production unit to create platforms such as Mitre 10’s Easy As.
She joins from Augusto Group where she was Head of Business Development and Marketing.
Sky’s Head of Sales Ben Gibb said: “We’re thrilled to have someone with Kathryn’s experience join the team to help us go after some of the big growth opportunities in front of us, particularly in the content and integration space.
With such a breadth of content and our ownership of live event TV, there is huge scope in this area and Allemann’s background and experience will help us unlock this potential.”
“I’m really excited to join the Sky team and return to television,” says Allemann. “There are wide ranging opportunities in Sky’s content portfolio for innovation with commercial partners and I’m looking forward to the conversations ahead.”
Max Havaux has deep expertise in programmatic, data, digital sales and AdTech gained working for media agencies and publishers.
He was previously Programmatic & Data Sales Manager at NZME and has strong agency experience working for both PHD and OMD in New Zealand and Canada.
Havaux will also report directly to Head of Sales Ben Gibb
Gibb says: “We have big plans in the digital ad space and Max brings new capability to our team and an excellent pedigree in launching and monetising video networks. His knowledge of the world of AdTech and experience in both the vendor sales and agency digital planning worlds will be invaluable as we develop our product and take it to market.”
Havaux says he is “thrilled to become a part of the Sky team and contribute to the company’s digital transformation”
“The future looks incredibly promising for the New Zealand market with our outstanding products like Sky Open, Neon, and Sky Sport Now. This opens up a world of fresh opportunities for marketers to engage with audiences through these dynamic platforms, ushering in a new era of possibilities.”
Both appointments are effective immediately.
