DHL Express and Surf Life Saving celebrate their 20-year partnership

DHL Express and Surf Life Saving are celebrating their two decades of partnership of saving lives and patrolling New Zealand beaches.

With over 4 million hours dedicated to beach patrols since 2003, Surf Life Saving NZ has saved more than 25,000 people from our waters and provided immediate medical assistance to 36,000 more.

DHL has been a champion of the charity throughout the extensive partnership, providing vital support to aid the charity in its tireless mission to keep the number of drownings between their flags at zero.

“DHL Express has been honoured to partner with SLSNZ over the past two decades in their incredible efforts to keep beachgoers safe,” says Mark Foy, Managing Director of DHL Express New Zealand and Pacific Islands.

“Our partnership is not just about logistics, it’s about saving lives. We are immensely proud to have
played a role in supporting these remarkable surf lifeguards,” Foy continued.

Steve Fisher, SLSNZ CEO, echoed this sentiment, saying “Our partnership with DHL Express has been instrumental in our mission to help keep beachgoers safe while enjoying New Zealand’s stunning beaches”.

“Together, we have made a profound impact on water safety and have been there for countless individuals when they needed us the most. We look forward to continuing this important work together in the years to come,” he says.

To commemorate their 20-year journey, they remain committed to their partnership of delivering safer beaches and providing a valuable and necessary service in the future.
