Comexposium Asia Pacific announces leadership change

Event organiser, Comexposium, has announced progressive leadership changes within its Australasian operations.

Ryf Quail, the current Managing Director ANZ & SEA overseeing the region’s premier marketing, e-commerce retail and media events under the iMedia Summits brand, is set to assume the role of Managing Director role for NRF 2024: Retail’s Big Show Asia Pacific, in 2024. This transition opens the door for Helena Stylman, the Group Sales Director ANZ & SEA, to step into Quail’s former position.

Both the iMedia Summits and NRF industry events are exclusive productions of Comexposium. The inaugural ‘NRF 2024 Retail’s Big Show Asia Pacific’ in Singapore is an extension of the renowned NRF Retail’s Big Show held annually in New York City, attracting over thirty-five thousand retail professionals globally.

Quail expressed his excitement about the APAC project, emphasising its potential as the premier trade show across the Asia Pacific region. With the support of the Singapore Tourism Board, NRF’s retail expertise, and Comexposium’s conference pedigree, the event is scheduled for June 11-13, 2024, in Singapore and aims to make a significant impact.

“We’ve been working extremely hard behind the scenes on this APAC project, it’s a really exciting time.”

Quail, backed with over 15 years of experience in the trade event industry and 20 years in tech and media, brings a deep understanding of the business and the retail industry. His appointment to the new role, combined with the internal ANZ succession of Helena Stylman underscores the company’s confidence in ensuring the success of its Asia Pacific organisations.

Stylman, recognised for her experience and success in retail eCommerce events, is entrusted with leading the ANZ business.

Quail expressed confidence in her abilities, stating, “The business in Australia and New Zealand is in great hands.” Stylman echoed this sentiment, expressing her excitement and confidence in the iMedia team supporting her in taking the reins. The highly sought-after iMedia Summits boast a distinguished reputation for providing rich networking opportunities for high-calibre attendees across various industries.

Despite pandemic challenges, Comexposium’s resilience is evident in its successful navigation of the industry events business. Elaine Chia, CEO of Comexposium Asia Pacific, emphasised confidence in Quail and Stylman, noting that their capabilities reflect the collective strength of the supporting teams.

“Together, they are poised to deliver an outstanding year ahead with the launch event in NRF APAC: Retail’s Big Show 2024, while iMedia’s continued success sets new benchmarks for the ANZ based industries.”
