Outdoor advertising company Go Media has become a Toitū net carbonzero certified organisation, hot on the heels of announcing its certified net carbonzero print initiative in partnership with SCG Printers.
To achieve Toitū net carbonzero certification, all operational greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions including vehicles, business travel, fuel and electricity, paper, and waste are measured and independently verified.
Unavoidable emissions have been offset through the purchase of quality carbon credits to achieve net carbon zero emissions. Go Media has also implemented a reduction strategy to decrease year-on-year emissions.
This certification shows that Go Media is an organisation who is positively contributing to the sustainability of its future through measuring, reducing, and offsetting its carbon footprint.
Go Media Operations Manager, Cassandra Albert, says “With Toitū we are excited to be empowered with the information we need to make operational changes that will reduce our carbon footprint on Papatūānuku (the land), in alignment with one of our core values of Aotearoa Tūturu (forever New Zealand).”
In addition to achieving Toitū net carbonzero certification, Go Media is also a foundation member of Ad Net Zero, an Impact Investor of the Sustainable Business Network, and a launch partner of Scope3 – working together to measure digital media emissions.
