AUCKLAND, Today: NZ Marketing magazine and the NZ Marketing Association are buzzing to unveil the finalists for the 2024 YouTube NZ Marketing Awards.
Celebrating its 33rd year, the Awards shine a light on top-notch marketing talent, honouring standout strategies, campaigns, and individuals across New Zealand.
Back in March, the call went out for Aotearoa’s marketers to impress us with their finest efforts—and wow, did they deliver! A record-breaking number of entries poured in across 32 categories.
This year, three new awards have been introduced to keep pace with our ever-evolving industry:
- Best Use of Content Marketing Campaign Award
- Best Use of Video Marketing Campaign Award
- Brand of the Year
After rigorous judging, we’re thrilled to reveal the finalists, showcasing an impressive roster of 86 brands. Standouts include 2degrees and Spark New Zealand, each bagging nine nods, Woolworths Group with eight, ANZ Bank New Zealand with seven, and both ASB Bank and McDonald’s NZ snagging six each.

John Miles, CEO of the Marketing Association, echoed this sentiment, “New Zealand marketers consistently produce stellar work, and today’s finalists are proof of that. Thanks to everyone who entered, and congratulations to all the finalists. There are some incredible marketing initiatives and campaigns highlighted this year.”
Michael Friedberg, CEO of SwayTech and this year’s Convenor of Judges, spoke about the judging dynamics: “With the surge in entries, we increased our judges by 10% from last year, bringing over 170 judges onboard for the first and second rounds.
More than 70% of these judges are senior-level marketers, underlining the awards’ role as a benchmark for marketing’s impact at the executive level. The clarity and depth in the entries this year were remarkable, simplifying our task and showcasing the brilliance of New Zealand’s marketing sector.”
