AUCKLAND, Today: Kicking off an exciting new project, The Hits breakfast show’s Ben Boyce and his influencer daughter, Sienna, are launching a podcast called When I Grow Up on iHeartRadio.
Each episode features chats with well-known Kiwi women, exploring how they built their impressive careers. The guest list includes fashion designer Karen Walker, mental health advocate Jazz Thornton, and actress Lucy Lawless.
The podcast, full of humour and heart, promises to inspire young listeners who aspire to become the next generation of leaders in New Zealand.
Ben and Sienna’s close bond, evident in their viral Instagram reels, shines through on the podcast. They swap goofy videos for heartfelt discussions about finding one’s place in the world.
“We’ve learnt so much from the amazing women we’ve talked to, hearing their stories and advice for young people, and the not-so-young people, like Dad!” – Ben Boyce
Ben shares that the podcast idea came from conversations about Sienna’s future. “It’s been a really special thing for Sienna and I to do together,” he says.
Sienna adds, “We’ve learnt so much from the amazing women we’ve talked to, hearing their stories and advice for young people, and the not-so-young people, like Dad!”
Sam Collins, Content Director for iHeartRadio, says When I Grow Up adds to NZME’s diverse podcast collection, providing a shared listening experience for parents and their kids.
He highlights that NZME’s goal is to cater to every New Zealander, offering content that is accessible wherever they are.
