AUCKLAND, Today: Snap Inc., the company behind Snapchat, announced it now reaches over 1.5 million monthly active users in New Zealand.
Unlike other platforms, Snapchat focuses on real-time, authentic communication with friends and family. It’s why users keep coming back. Snapchat reaches 95% of Kiwis aged 13-24¹ and 75% of those aged 13-34.² Interestingly, more than half of New Zealand’s users are 25 or older.³
Kiwis are highly active on the app, opening it over 35 times a day on average.⁴ More than 55% of Kiwi Snapchatters use AR lenses daily, whether for fun or shopping.⁵
As Snapchat grows locally, Snap Inc. has appointed Tama Sefuiva as Senior Client Partner. With over 20 years of experience, he’ll lead ad sales for Kiwi brands.
Ajit Mohan, APAC President of Snap Inc., said, “With 1.5 million Kiwis on Snapchat, our local community has never been stronger.
