In a world where nearly everyone is always online, there is no offline.

Domino’s launches mental health conversation cards

AUCKLAND, Today: To mark Mental Health Awareness Week in New Zealand (23–29 September), Domino’s stores nationwide are offering limited edition Conversation Cards, encouraging Kiwis to check in with their loved ones.

Nearly half of Kiwis will face mental distress or illness at some stage, a number that continues to grow. Domino’s partnered with Youthline to design these cards, aimed at sparking conversations about mental health, anxiety, and overall well-being.

Each card includes prompts like:

  • If you could share a pizza with anyone in the world, who would it be?
  • What are you grateful for?
  • Who is someone you admire and why?
  • What’s the best advice you’ve received?

“This campaign raises awareness and encourages customers to talk about mental health with their loved ones. After all, pizza has a way of making things better!” – Kerri Hayman

Aligning with this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week theme, ‘Community is…what we create together,’ the cards serve as tools to foster connections and support mental health.

These Conversation Cards are part of Domino’s Minds & Meals charity network, which partners with mental health organisations to help youth thrive, including Youthline in New Zealand.

“As an employer of choice for young Kiwis, it’s important we care,” said Domino’s ANZ CEO and Minds & Meals Chairperson, Kerri Hayman.

“This campaign raises awareness and encourages customers to talk about mental health with their loved ones. After all, pizza has a way of making things better!”

Domino’s Minds & Meals General Manager, Christine Bryant, agrees, saying that pizza can deliver fresh hope during challenging times.

“Pizza has a way of making things better. It can be there faster than you can say, ‘extra cheese please!’”

“A warm meal and conversation with a loved one can be powerful when facing life’s challenges, especially when there’s comfort and connection in every slice.”

The cards will be available in Domino’s New Zealand stores during Mental Health Awareness Week while stocks last.
