In a world where nearly everyone is always online, there is no offline.

TVNZ rolls out new social solution for connected TV

AUCKLAND, Today: Expand your social campaign’s reach with TVNZ+ Social Stream, a smart and cost-effective way to turn vertical video content into premium ads for the largest screen in Kiwi homes.

One of the standout features of TVNZ+ is its ability to keep viewers engaged. Ads are non-skippable, take over the entire screen, and are usually watched with sound on, making the most of the platform’s low ad load.

This gives TVNZ+ an edge as one of the top platforms in New Zealand for holding audience attention, something many online ads struggle to achieve.

According to Amplified Intelligence, video ads need at least 2.5 seconds of active attention to be remembered, but 85% of online ads fall short because they can be skipped or scrolled past.

“TVNZ+ Social Stream delivers results. We’re pleased to be able to offer this new and exciting way for brands to capture more attention for their campaign, in a premium environment.” – Valerie Walshe

With vertical video investment on the rise, TVNZ+ Social Stream allows brands, influencers, and partners to deliver non-skippable, highly targeted impressions on a large scale.

In a test campaign for Celebrity Treasure Island, TVNZ used Social Stream to boost engagement, using clickable mobile creatives and QR codes on CTV. The results spoke for themselves, with increased interaction on the show’s social channels.

Valerie Walshe, Chief Revenue Officer at TVNZ, stated, “TVNZ+ Social Stream delivers results. We’re pleased to be able to offer this new and exciting way for brands to capture more attention for their campaign, in a premium environment. It’s our latest innovation as we continue to make it simpler for businesses to advertise and build their brands with TVNZ+.”
