The Poster Boys have rocked the stage once again, securing the BOTAB trophy for the second consecutive year at the 15th annual Battle of the Ad Bands (BOTAB), hosted at Galatos.
This year’s theme, The Year of the Soundtrack, challenged agency bands to bring their best movie, TV show, or video game soundtrack covers to life.
Eight agency bands battled it out, but it was The Poster Boys who won over both the crowd and the judges with their performance featuring tracks from the recent movie Deadpool & Wolverine. This year’s judging panel was Mikhal Norris, Richard Simpson, and Jeremy Taine, who were amazed at the high standard of performances throughout the night.
For their efforts, The Poster Boys have taken home:
- A $ 100 Sal’s Pizza Voucher
- A production run of their own bespoke ice cream flavour from Much Moore Ice-Cream
- A $ 500 Lunch at Prego
- And most importantly the coveted BOTAB trophy
In addition to The Poster Boys’ win, Hayley Marks from The Dents Who wowed the judges with a powerful performance featuring songs from Wayne’s World, earning her the Best Performer award for the night.
And of course, there was no shortage of amazing prizes throughout the night. Thanks to the epic sponsors, everyone was able to feel the love last night! BOTAB wouldn’t be possible without the love and support of the sponsors: Apex Insurance, Fortis Travel, Huffer, Much Moore, Coffee Supreme, Prego, Radio Hauraki, and Sal’s Pizza.
Thanks to all the bands that competed:
- Colenso BBDO – Kill Enzo
