Warner Bros. Discovery ANZ (WBD) have announced they will continue their partnership with SailGP, bringing Kiwis live coverage of the global racing championship’s 2025 Season.
New Zealanders across the country will be able to witness all of the action on the water, thanks to the renewed partnership between WBD and SailGP, with full coverage kicking off in November on Three and ThreeNow.
The highly-anticipated 2025 Season of SailGP will commence with the Emirates Dubai Sail Grand Prix, presented by P&O Marines, November 23-24. 11 hydro-foiling F50 catamarans, crewed by the best athletes in the sport, will compete in a thrilling display of speed and skill on the waters of Mina Rashid.
Fans will be able to stream all SailGP events live on ThreeNow, with the long-awaited Auckland, New Zealand debut race also airing Live on Three. The ITM New Zealand Grand Prix is scheduled to take place January 18-19, 2025 in Auckland’s Waitematā Harbour and will undoubtedly generate huge attention.

The extension of this partnership follows another milestone season which saw unprecedented engagement, cementing SailGP’s status as the premier global sail racing championship – one of the world’s fastest-growing sport and entertainment properties.
Season 4 on Three reached 1.4 million for AP 5+ and over half a million for AP 25-54. In Season 4, SailGP recorded a total dedicated broadcast audience of more than 200 million. Over 800+ hours of SailGP were broadcast globally and was seen in more than 212 territories around the globe.
Racing on the ultimate global stage, SailGP’s 2025 Season will be the league’s most expansive to date with events spanning five continents. The global racing championship will also make stops in iconic destinations, including Rio de Janeiro, New York, Sydney and Geneva. SailGP has confirmed an 11-team lineup will be on the start line in Dubai, with a 12th national team joining the fleet at the second event of the season, in Auckland.
The opening race of the 2025 Season will be streamed live on ThreeNow, November 23 from 11pm.
