This year’s 52nd Media Awards showcase the best in New Zealand journalism, offering 38 premium awards across four categories: All Media; Audio, Digital and Video; Photography; and Written.

A new award, Best Specialist Reporting, joins the All Media category, honouring top-notch coverage in a specific area that hasn’t been featured in other awards.

The Photography category welcomes back the Best Photo-Story award, celebrating exceptional photojournalism that tells compelling visual stories.

Please note the changes in entry criteria for some awards this year and ensure to read all the entry details carefully.

Entries close on Friday, 21 February 2025, with finalists announced in April. Visit the Voyager Media Awards site during the entry period to use the entry portal and submit your work.
